The Gepard is a very fast, but also very easy to play short pimple rubber. Regarding the length of the (wide) pips, the Gepard is actually a medium-length pip rubber. However, the pimples are so extremely hard and inelastic that the Gepard plays 100% like a short pimple rubber, because the pimples do not bend even with hard attacking blows. The pip heads are wavy. The underlay of the Gepard is the same medium-hard underlay as the SpinLord rubbers Keiler and Gipfelsturm. So there is also a slight built-in glue effect. The Gepard has three strong points: Despite its high speed, balls can be played and placed with extreme precision. Secondly, the Gepard is extremely impervious to incoming rotation, but at the same time it can generate some rotation of its own. And thirdly, it can be used by players of all levels, both by absolute top players and by players in the lower leagues without experience with pimple rubbers.
